What is Rice Paper Decoupage?

Rice paper is like thicker tissue but much easier to use, you need decoupage glue to apply it to your project

This is available on all sizes of rice paper, it has superb image quality and bright colours and has been especially developed for furniture upcycle.

Tips on applying rice paper

For best results always apply to a light surface so as not to lose the brightness of the image. If you want a dark surface blend the paint around the image after it has been applied and is dry.

Always glue the paper in stages, never try and glue it all down at once. You can also lightly mist the back of the paper with water this extends the time to move it around. Use a ball of cling film to smooth out the creases as you go.

I would recommend watching some YouTube vids on applying rice paper decoupage if you have not used it before. 

Can the images be mirrored?

Most images can be mirrored but please contact us before ordering to confirm.

Can I order a tube at checkout to avoid paper being folded?

Yes, whilst any creases should disappear during the application process we do have the option for an A1 & A2 tube.

Please note if you have any A1 prints in your order then an A1 tube is needed as an A2 tube would be too small.

EU customers, please note:

Starting July 1, 2026, the EU is introducing a flat €3 temporary customs duty per item on low-value e-commerce consignments (up to €150) imported from outside the EU.

It is charged per tariff line (per distinct item type) in a customs declaration, not per parcel. If a single package contains multiple different types of items, the €3 duty will apply to each qualifying item.

Depending on how customs are processed, Import VAT may also be charged on top of the €3 customs duty.
